White sofa? No problem, we used performance fabrics! Light color rug and accent chairs? All kid and pet friendly fabrics too!! Pretty items on the bookcases? Everything is either books, wood items or decor kids can’t break, and even if they do, it’s not going to hurt anyone. .

Decorating bookshelves can be so frustrating!! 😩

How many times have you tried to decorate bookcases and just given up? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Even us pros get flustered if we try without a solid plan in mind! But don’t worry, I’ve come up with a solution to help you out!! 😉

Before you begin, make sure you are gathering decor that follows the “60-30-10 Rule” to pull together your color palette. This will help to make sure you have the right ingredients to pull together perfectly styled shelves. 🙌🏻

Not sure what this rule is? No problem! It means to pull together a color palette that’s 60% one color, 30% another color or tone and 10% another color or tone. This will ensure you stay on track and create a cohesive look.🌿
